Attending Counseling Sessions
Once you have been matched with one of our counselors, we will schedule our first counseling session. The topics we discuss in sessions are unique to each and every individual, but the way we meet is more black and white. We can either meet virtually by video conference, which is what most of our clients prefer, or you can come to our office for an in-office session if that would make you feel more comfortable. Our goal for the session is to help you feel as at ease as possible, so we are happy to be flexible. Some people feel more at ease doing counseling from the comfort of their own living room while others want an opportunity to be in a new space – that is completely up to you!
During our sessions, we want you to feel like you have a balance of a listening ear as well as a knowledgeable support system that can equip you with practical tools you can use beyond our sessions.
