Bethany Monte, PMHNP

Have you been experiencing mental health concerns but are concerned that you will be prescribed medications that may have adverse effects? Feeling frustrated when you try to talk to your physician about holistic health and get to the root of your concerns, but no one will listen? During my 20+ years of practice, I have dealt with all of these problems personally or professionally.

As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I treat:

  • Depression and Mood Swings
  • Anxiety and Panic Attacks
  • Adrenal Imbalances
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Heavy Metal Toxicity
  • Holistic ADHD Care
  • Detoxification Impairment
  • Food Allergies and Sensitivities
  • Leaky Gut, Gastrointestinal issues
  • Neurotransmitter Imbalances

It is my goal to offer people an alternative to just taking another pill or being silenced because every test comes back as “normal.” Western medicine alone is not doing an adequate job with regard to addressing mental health from a “whole health” perspective. In my practice, I work with you as a whole person, rather than just addressing one part of your health.  This is more of an integrative or functional medicine approach. As a result of this approach, mental health is addressed by evaluating and treating both the mind and the body.  I combine conventional medical and psychiatric diagnosis with complementary methods, which can include therapy, nutritional evaluation, genetic testing, and/or supplements. In this way, I aim to promote wellness through nutrition, exercise, spirituality, and mind-body health. I tailor my treatment to the individual patient’s unique environment, spirituality, medical, and genetic needs. I believe that every patient deserves dignity and respect, realizing that they are greater than their current mental health challenges. It is my honor and privilege to work closely with patients and their families in order to reach their full health potential.

If you are looking for mental health care that addresses you as a whole individual and fully evaluates your needs, you have come to the right place. Don’t continue to just take “pills for every ill” but consider the root cause for the problem and address that problem head on. Let’s begin your journey to mental wellness and balance.
