Over the years I have learned that I seem to make a special connection with young adults in the 18-30 range, as they seem to just open right up to me, despite the fact that I have plenty of experience across the age spectrum and am comfortable working with all ages. I’ve walked beside young & experienced professionals, parents with young kids, and clients from all walks of life & diverse cultural backgrounds as they face challenging times. I’m confident that I am equipped with the tools to help you, too!
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of California Berkeley and my Master’s in Social Work at San Jose State University.
While in school, I struggled with an eating disorder and anxiety that threatened to derail my educational goals. A counselor who was warm, accepting, and trustworthy helped me to overcome these challenges. By graduation, I knew that I wanted to spend my career giving to others what that counselor gave me: Hope and the ability to live my best life. This experience has fueled a strong interest in treating those with eating disorders and body image struggles. I am an advocate for the Health At Every Size (HAES) movement and am interested in building my experience working with individuals who would like to overcome these challenges.
